Margaret Dance Academy is a dance school that has been established for 44 years – 31 in the London area.

They cover all aspects of dance tuition, teaching young boys and girls in our East Acton branch Ballet and Tap.

They specialise in children’s tuition and take pupils from the age of two and a half upwards.

Margaret Dance Academy enters children for Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Tap and Modern Exams and Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams. They also have our own internal class exams for the younger children.

About Margaret

Margaret Ingrassia trained at the Academy of Ballet in Edinburgh with Joan Tucker and Jack Spurgeon – former dancers with the Sadlers Wells Ballet.

After teaching with the Academy of Ballet and with Dame Marjorie Middleton she taught with Jennifer Cummings for two years before opening her own school in Edinburgh and surrounding areas which she ran for 13 years before moving to London with her family.

Margaret then opened her school here in London in 1986 and also taught for Jo-Anne Wilding in Cobham. She went on to take over this branch which she ran for 8 years. She now has branches in Ealing, East Acton and Harlesden where she teaches ballet and tap. She also teaches in Harvington School for Girls and St.Benedicts Junior School.

She is a fully registered teacher and life member of the Royal Academy of Dance and a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

She also has a teacher’s certificate with the British Theatre Dance Association.
