Lick of paint for Old Oak Office

June 25, 2013 in News by Old Oak Centre

Our office on Erconwald Street is going to close for approximately

6 weeks from July 12th to allow refurbishment works to take place.

Over the years there have been many changes and currently there

are now over 30 staff working from this office.  Wear and tear

therefore calls for  a new look and freshen up.  Although the

office will be closed to visitors we will still be taking calls and

offering home visits to see tenants during this period.  We

don’t anticipate this causing too many problems for our short

closure and will keep you updated with the works.

Old Oak & Charlton Triangle Away Day – 20 June 2013

June 23, 2013 in News by Old Oak Centre

Approximately 1 year ago during a previous Away Day, the Old Oak Board concluded that it wanted a new focus and direction that would benefit the community as a whole.  Charlton Triangle Homes & Old Oak Housing Association later adopted the idea that social housing needed to be seen in a wider context.  A two year extensive health & wealth pilot has since started with the aim of providing extra care and support to tenants.

This year’s Away Day took place at the Park Plaza in Westiminster.  It included a presentation by Darren Summers – Family Mosaic Director of Growth (Supported Housing) and a running question and answer session.

Valuable information sharing workshops took place as well as feedback on benchmarking and sharing best practice by Nigel Pierce – Head of Neighbourhood & Community –  Charlton Triangle Homes  & Sarah Byron-Moore – Neighbourhood Manager – Old Oak Housing Association.
